Discovering New Music: The Reveal

With the debut of the Nashville Part-Timer blog, I’ve have the opportunity to check out a lot of awesome new musical acts in the past few weeks.

This week I was able to chat with Dustin McKee about his band called “The Reveal”.

The Reveal is a 3 piece Blues/Rock-n-Roll band with elements of funk, hip-hop, classic, progressive and psychedelic styles fuzed into one epic musical experience. The band recently changed their name from “No Name Blues” and put out a new music video as a way of announcing the change. In the video for “She’s Bad” the band “transforms” into a superior, more funkified version of themselves (AKA “The Reveal”). The song and video are both very unique, reminiscent of something you might’ve heard in the 60’s rock-n-roll era with a modern twist.

Check out the video below:

The band’s next live performance will be at FishFest II where they will be joined by several other bands in the Nashville area. The event is held at the Fish Farm Rock-n-Roll Refuge in Lebanon and tickets are available for $20 for a day pass, or $35 if you would like to camp.

You’ll be able to enjoy local food trucks, various vendors, giveaways, and of course a day of live musical entertainment.

There will be a limited amount of tickets available as the event will be socially distanced, so be sure to jump on them now!

The Reveal’s album titled “Do You Know” is available now on iTunes and Amazon. Be sure to also check out the Reveal’s YouTube channel to see more videos like this one and make sure to like them on Facebook and IG.
