So about two years ago I had an idea for a novel.
I’m finally doing the thing. Two years later.
I had sort of a “come to Jesus” moment about things, if you will.
For the longest time, and this is branching from when I was a kid, I’ve always felt like I was “waiting for things to fall into place”.
I was ‘waiting’ for the perfect moment to seize the things I wanted.
I was ‘waiting’ for some magical THING to happen..
Then it hit me.
I had NO IDEA what the hell I was waiting for.
I had no idea why I had waited to write more music.
I had no idea why I had sat on the several novel ideas.
Other than…and it’s fairly simple…
Being a procrastinator.
The only thing that was different between now and then, is that I had wasted several years not pursuing goals I could have otherwise used to make solid progress.
Key takeaway?
If there’s something you want to accomplish, don’t wait.
If you’re currently trapped in this proverbial waiting game, ask yourself what exactly it is you’re waiting for.
If you really dig, you’ll probably find that you’re waiting on nothing.
And there’s no point in waiting on nothing.
Go get it bros.
